The iPhone 15 Pro models are intensely reputed to come with a no-button plan. But, is it truly happening this year?
Well, one of the Apple providers has given a few points of interest. In a shareholder letter nowadays, Apple provider Cirrus Rationale proposed that a button-less plan isn’t coming to iPhone 15 arrangement which Apple has cancelled it for now.
"Among the HPMS openings we have examined, a modern item that we said in past shareholder letters as being planned for presentation this fall is not expected to come to market as arranged," the letter states. "As we have restricted perceivability into our customer's future plans for this item at this time, we are expelling the income related with this component from our inner model."
The HPMS within the cite is essentially Tall Execution, Blended Flag fragment, which includes a set of haptic drivers for the Taptic Motor that's joined in iPhones. It was previously detailed that two more Taptic Motors will be included in 2023 iPhones to assist give way better haptic input when the solid-state buttons are squeezed to let a client know that the smartphone has recognized the tap.
Following this, in his past letter, the provider confirmed that the button-less plan is coming to next-generation iPhones and indeed clarified how this will work. But, Apple has now cancelled it. The delay is likely due to production issues, which is something that was recently reported.
“When looking at potential use cases, the largest change in new iPhone models another year is the removal of the buttons, which would require extra drivers for the haptics motor, making it the foremost likely use case for modern substance. We proceed to lock in with a strategic client and expect to bring a modern HPMS component to market in smartphones next year,” he said last year.
The change in plans also means that one might get to see the ancient two-button plan for adjusting volume. The iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to hold the old back camera plan that we have been seeing on old iPhone models. We could see three huge sensors put in a square camera module at the back panel of the phone. At the back, there will likely be the Apple symbol.
